'Tis the Season to Trick or Treat

This post is part 2 of some of the fa-boo-lous events to celebrate Halloween in and around Ayrshire and Glasgow. Part 1 (‘Tis the Season to Get Spooky) was uploaded last week which listed events for families and scare-seekers, so check that out if you missed it!

For the Friends – Silverburn Spooktacular

  • Running from Thursday 7th of October until Sunday 31st of October, selected dates.
  • This funfair is a new event this year located in the Green Car Park at Silverburn shopping centre.
  • The sessions are 4 hours long and run from either 12pm-4pm or 5pm-9pm.
  • There are loads of different rides, food stalls and photo opportunities, making this the perfect place to round up your friends for some fun, food and even some cool Halloween photoshoots!
Tickets are £16.50 for riders over 1.2m and £13.20 for riders under 1.2m, and these tickets offer unlimited rides.

For the couples - At the Flix Drive-In: Halloween Spooktacular at Loudon Castle

  • Running from Friday 29th October until Sunday 31st October
  • At the Flix Drive-In is back, this year deciding to run their Halloween drive-in cinema at the ruins of Loudon Castle, which will make cosying up together for a scary movie extra atmospheric!
  • There are 4 films running each day, ranging all the way from family films and Halloween favourites to classic horrors so you’re bound to find the perfect film for you.
  • As well as the movie there’s plenty more fun included in the ticket, such as the in-car quiz, car-a-oke and a chance to win prizes in a fancy-dress competition
  • You can also order food directly to your car
  • I’m recommending this for couples is because it’s such a perfect opportunity for a unique and unusual date night, but this event is fang-tastic for groups of friends and families too
  • Bring plenty of snacks, hot drinks, and blankets - especially to hide under if you choose one of the scary movies!
Tickets are £36.50 per car, and this also entitles you to £5 off the Christmas Drive-In.
